The Alton Motel in Alton, MO is nestled deep in the heart of the beautiful Ozarks. Just 8 miles from the Eleven Point River and a short drive from the Mark Twain National Forest, guests find themselves surrounded by the tranquility and beauty that Southern Missouri has to offer.
September 2014 the town hosted the first Ozarks Beatlemania Festival. 50 years ago the Beatles spent the weekend resting and relaxing at the Pigman Ranch where the owners of the Alton Motel lived. This small motel was built in the 1940s for the weary traveler to rest. The rooms are small and the hot water takes a few seconds to get to the faucet however the rooms are very clean and have been updated as much as is possible. We have new beds, bedding, wifi is great, and Dish Network is available on the flat screen.
Summers offer great outdoor opportunities such as canoe trips, fishing, hiking, biking, camping and many local festivals. Guests can browse the local shops, enjoy a fine meal at one of the restaurants and then come home to relax in your home away from home - the Alton Motel.
